Jeff O’Brien
Jeff O’Brien is a doctoral student in Art History & Visual Culture at the University of British Columbia, Canada. His current research explores the intersection between ruin, archive and allegories in the practices of several contemporary artists from Lebanon and Palestine. His recent publications are - The Taste of Sand in the Mouth: 1939 and Degenerate' Egyptian Art in Critical Interventions in 2015, a co-authored entry on art critic Clement Greenberg for Oxford Annotated Bibliographies in 2015, and a review of Gil Z. Hochberg’s Visual Occupations: Violence and Visibility in a Conflict Zone in Prefix in 2015.
